"Golfing" around

Kiwisport this term for Room 15 is golf for the first five weeks.  We had our first session late last week and all learners really enjoyed learning the basic skills.

We were practicing our aim and learning about hard and soft to begin with, before we starting using the club.  It was important that our feet were pointing towards the board and our hands were together on the club to make the shot accurate as we aimed for our target.  We are looking forward to our next session!

Mixing Colours in MakerSpace

In our first week of MakerSpace, Room 15 enjoyed learning about the colour wheel and how to mix two colours together to create a new colour.  Mrs Belt popped in and took some photos of us hard at work.

Meanwhile, over in Creative Space, the other half of Room 15 were beginning to create their Dream Bedroom using Hyperstudio.

As I See It

What a great immersion assembly and we are looking forward to featuring Art and Geometry this term as we study design and architecture.  For anyone that missed the Team 3 movie this morning, you might enjoy viewing it below.  We look forward to sharing our learning throughout this term.

Term 2 starts tomorrow

I hope all learners and their whanau of Room 15 have had a great two weeks holiday!  Mrs Belt is looking forward to seeing you all.  Don't forget we start with the Pt England School famous "Immersion Assembly" at 8:50am and you won't want to miss it!

Last day of Swimming

Today was the last day of swimming for Room 15.  We have really enjoyed our time in the pool and many learners have made great progress over our ten lessons.  Today we made some Thank You cards for our instructors and presented these to them after our final lesson.

Our Amazing Fiafia

Last night Room 15 joined with the whole of Pt England School in our amazing Fiafia.  All our tamariki did an amazing job!

Teingoa visits again

Room 15 were excited to have Teingoa visit our class again on Friday. He joined in with our team jump jam session and then spent the middle block helping us in the classroom.  Some of the lucky tamariki in Room 15 got to read with Teingoa which they were very excited about.  He helped some of our other learners with their reading activities.  After lunch, Teingoa joined in with our Fiafia practice.

Room 15 really enjoyed having Teingoa in our classroom today and we hope he comes back soon.
