Our Swimming Movie

Room 15 has really enjoyed going swimming this week.  This movie showcases some of the great learning we have been doing.

Ready, Set, SWIM :)

Today was the first day of swimming for Room 15.  Our session is straight after lunch and we had some very excited learners as we set off for the pools.

After a brief assessment our lessons got underway.  Mrs Fester and Mrs Belt took some video footage which we will share on PENN and via our blog later this week.  Here are some photos from our first swim!

Hooping it up at Kiwisport

For the last two weeks, Room 15 has enjoyed using the hoops at Kiwisport.  Its great to see all the different things we can do with the hoops and to see our co-ordination improve the more we do it.  By far, spinning the hoops around various parts of our bodies is the most fun!  Check out some of the things we have been doing in this collage below.

Jump Jam fun with Team 1 and Team 2

On Friday afternoon, half of Room 15 were unable to go to MakerSpace as Miss Sadler was unwell.  Ms George kindly let us join Team 1 and Team 2 in the hall for a jump jam session.  It was a great ending to a fantastic day, and we really enjoyed the songs.  Mrs Belt took a few photos of our "moves" during the session!

No picnic .. but we're still having a COOL day in Room 15

Everyone in Room 15 were disappointed that the picnic has been postponed until April 1, but we're still having an amazing day.

Teingoa's uncle is spending some time with us and we played a game of heads down, thumbs up to start our morning.

Then we had some free choice, with learners choosing to draw, listen to stories on their iPad, play with blocks and build creations with dominos.

Happy birthday Luisa :)

Another birthday in Room 15 today, with Luisa turning 7!  Her mum gave us a great cake which we enjoyed after we sang Happy Birthday to Luisa.

We all really enjoyed the cake and ate it with our milk just before lunch.

Happy Birthday Sivaenah :)

Sivaenah celebrated her 7th birthday with her friends in Room 15 today.  Her wonderful whanau surprised us with a Strawberry birthday cake just before lunch.  We all enjoyed celebrating with Sivaenah (and eating the cake too!!)  Mrs Belt took some photos to share with the class.

MakerSpace .... growing learning

Room 15 is really enjoying our time in MakerSpace with Ms Sadler.  Today we were learning about plants and the roots that provide the nutrients for life.
